I started knitting in October 2005. I had wanted to learn for absolutely ages - not having anyone I knew as a knitter I bought myself a book and away I went. Since starting I've discovered that I actually come from a family of keen knitters and have inherited a lot of needles and spare yarn from my Granny and Nana.

I started up my etsy shop, GeminiKnits, in May 2007. Being something of a geek I had to know how the handpainted yarn I'd just bought was put together and decided to give it a try myself. I took over my Dad's kitchen armed with some food colouring, undyed yarn and a face mask and the rest, as they say, is history!  

I got my first spinning wheel for Christmas in 2009 and have just opened my second etsy shop, GeminiHandspun, which is selling my handpainted, handspun creations. I am completely in love with spinning (and on a good day might even say I love it more than knitting!).  

When not being crafty, I am a stay-at-home Mum to my Daughter and live in East Sussex, England with her, my Husband and long-suffering cat.
